Splendid. You are the 'Parler' of Ham Radio sites.M0XXQ wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:02 pmYou can speak freely on here without fear of being persecuted. Different site, different rules.G6CSL wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 7:34 pmI used to contribute to the same site, but one of the Admins smart-mouthed me ... twice. So I imposed a £20 fine.M0HJO wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 6:51 pm
Good idea Steve, I would support any idea and raffle, as I did on other forums for years.
I don't think Ill be included in the HRD raffle this year, I wonder if Mick & Co will refund what I paid in to date
Donated a brand new Handy to that raffle one year as well, how foolish!!
Yep, cracking idea Rob.
John.
They would have paid it off this year.

Re: Christmas Raffle ideas
I am more than willing to contribute, as I did elsewhere on another site, and as a bonus to other members on here, I don't have a great track record of ever winning!
That narrows your odds down a bit!
I did win a "Pudsy Bear" once, in a "Children in need raffle", the first year it was ever run, but other than that, I ain't never won a fat lot!
I will still contribute no problem.
Count me in.

Re: Christmas Raffle ideas
I have similar luck, though I did have a win at the other place
But it is always nice to see someone have some luck.
As for prizes, difficult one. My first suggestion would be "gift card" for the RSGB book shop, but that would probably float like a lead balloon
I think books or kits are in keeping with the spirit of amateur radio, within the likely finances.

Sounds good to me..
I'm not a lucky person at all, If I were to bet on a pair of horses in the National...
The first would stop for a dump then the second would slip in it..!
