RIP Pete!

I first saw him in the latter day's of the original Fleetwood Mac, a very tasty "white" blues player, and no mistake.
Then he did his "vanishing act", his hobo/tramp days, no news, nobody really knew where he was, and when he finally re-emerged, went to see one of his very first comeback gigs at Ronnie Scots in Birmingham.
Cosy Powell was the drummer as I recall.
It was very obvious he had suffered in his none playing sojourn, he was a frail shadow of his former self, having to be "helped" onto the stage, but even then he showed the odd flair of subtle playing genius!
A couple of years later, I saw him again at Blues festival, and he was far more lucid and fluid in his playing.
Sad to hear of his demise, he along with Rory Gallagher, is one of my favorite British blues players.
His fingers often oozed sheer understated taste and feel.
RIP Pete!
