Shops

Unread post by M0HJO »

Well as from today, in England a lot more shops are opening, with social distancing in place.
What do you all thing about this?

Personally, I think its too soon. (running before we can walk etc.)

I agree, it is a total gamble.
If they get it wrong, the next months will be worse than the past few have.

We are planning on it going wrong, have no faith in their decisions made for the wrong reasons,

We will only know for sure in a few weeks though, four weeks from now the situation may look different.

The problem is people, many are ignorant and stupid so if you can fix that then I am sure the system put in place will work.
The fact that tens of thousands of rioters have been kicking off for a couple of weeks now, the government doesn't seem too concerned....

It's a circus show.
I won't be going anywhere near the shops other than food so their welcome to their hours of queuing up.
I now think the government lie about the figures in and attempt to get us all buzzing around to fire the economy up.

Yep a bit of a McDonalds "re-opening" moment really! ;)
Look at the stupid queues.
For what?
Folks shopping like they have never been allowed to shop before in their lives, and so proud of their purchases that they simply have to post selfies about it, so we can all marvel at what they have managed to buy!
As if they ain't been hammering "online shopping" in the mean time whilst in locked down, just "shopaholics" some folks, by every available avenue possible. ;)
Rise in deaths later maybe?, a second wave maybe?, but look at the "boost" to the economy! :)
Even Boris recons we should be "shopping for Britain".

Badly need a haircut though.
I was already due for one when lockdown started, but now my Son reckons it looks like I'm wearing a Georgian Wig.

Haircuts?, being a long haired hippy of old, not on my list of retail outlet essentials! :D
I suppose it has got longer technically, but when it was already half way down my back, I haven't noticed a great change. ;)
I have trimmed the beard a few times, but the Babyliss beard trimmer sorts that out.

We can't keep the country in lockdown forever though.
Borrowing is above 100% of GDP already, and we're going to be paying for this mess for decades.
