The curtain twitchers finally hit the streets! (No doubt with a council provided HI Viz jacket!)
Are we to become a nation of grassers and pretend policemen?
You just know the government and law enforcement is failing to get a grip, when unqualified nosey neighbour volunteers are deemed a potential answer to the Covid rule breakers problem.
I can see it now, it will not be long after it's roll out before the first "Covid Marshall" gets their head "kicked in" trying to tell a large group of partying youths, or adult drunks, they should be dispersing and conforming to social distancing standards!
A true recipe for potential personal disaster.

Just think of it as cleansing the gene pool.
I mean, really, do you want them as neighbours anyway

You make a very valid point!
Then comes this advice....

Best of luck with that, when faced with a Monday more stringent lock down, I can imagine blow out large gathering parties galore this weekend.

What is the most stupid of things you can tell the public at large? - Avoid 'party weekend' ahead of new restrictions.
What is the first thing the public at large is going to do after being told this - 'Party like it is 1999'
Yes, we have the same variety of drip-feeds, dick-heads and other assorted idiots at the top of the moron pile here as well.

I agree completely, and here's a classic example....VK5TM wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 2:34 am What is the most stupid of things you can tell the public at large? - Avoid 'party weekend' ahead of new restrictions.

Another Dick thought it a good idea to stick two fingers up to all the current advice and have a large blow out party at home.
Gets approached by the well meaning local community Covid officers and tells them to "do one", followed later by a visit from the Police, who tell him "No....YOU do one sonny, and here's a £10k fine to help you buck your ideas up!", and now has said post party £10k fine to contend with, just so he can no doubt get a lot of "likes" from any posted Facebook "Look at my huge party" picture posts!
They really are quite pathetic at times.
No doubt Daddy or Mommy will be helping pay off the £10k fine, as I doubt the 19 year old concerned has £10k of spare pocket change to hand over and simply fob it off as..... "Well, it was all worth it!".

One saving grace, if you believe the scientists, is that the current generation is not going to live as long as their parents generation.
Not that it means the following generation is going to be any better behaved though.
Give it 300 years and the human race will have managed to annihilate itself.

Reverse evolution might eventually see the human species, if not physically in size, at least mentally in ability, reverting to the microbes we first appeared on the planet in the form of!VK5TM wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 6:34 am One saving grace, if you believe the scientists, is that the current generation is not going to live as long as their parents generation.

Considering we live in the World of finger on the pulse instantly connected High Tech, there are some seriously devoid of intelligence folks about!
It's almost a case of we have learned seemingly everything, and in reality nothing, all during the same time we have been on the planet.

Despite his unfortunate Nazi baggage, perhaps Nietzsche was right, and mankind is overdue to diverge into 'over' and 'under' branches.
