A new active region (AR2771) belonging to Cycle 25 is forming in the southeast quadrant today and will be monitored. A secondary region is now turning into view off the southeast limb and appears to be spotless for now. Image courtesy of SDO/HMI.

Uh-oh.
11 days now, and not a single spot.
My 'hunch' is that the next cycle will happen, but it will be the weakest in centuries.
OK for NVIS 'lowfers' like me (I get a nosebleed above 10 Mhz), but not a vintage cycle for the 21-28 MHz people.
