I saw that, certainly amuch loved and significant person to many, and to those who she was to their parents and grand parents.

I completely agree with the sentiments expressed so far, a true example of British grit and projected hope for millions at the time, at its finest, and a very sad loss indeed.
The really sad thing about history and younger folk today, I guarantee you there will be younger folks currently mumbling "Vera Lynn?...what band was she in then?, I have never heard of her!" :roll:

I do get the feeling though it was just done to show President Macron a face of "it's business as usual" here in Bilghty, it might get boxed up again later of course for it's own protection.

Nice one Dave, the times we live are for squealing babies and snowflakes that think their life's are more important than others in a nutshell.
I've just been to the local chippy and the two woman in there working are furious over this kneeling thingy and I mean furious.
