Has anyone used them yet and if so how do you rate them.

The tubing that you heat up ? Yeah Gerry their ok for insulation instead of pvc tape that rolls off in time.
I also use liquid rubber tape...depends what you are doing I guess.

Not used them yet Gerry, in the past I used tin foil and a cigarette lighter - when times were hard and I didn't have a gas powered soldering iron

Yeah they look a handy item to have.
The ones I've sent away for have colour coded depending on wire gauge adhesive strips inside the sleeve to give a better grip; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exQqsD5IyEk

I guess if you are up the end of the garden and don't any electric then one of those mini butane blow torches should do the job on both solder and heat shrink.
