Interesting method of operating FT8

Unread post by G0DJA »

I was idly watching 40M FT8, as you do, when I thought that something looked strange. There was the same station, on two different frequencies, transmitting at two different time slots.

Why?

I'm beginning to think that it's a problem with the thermal stability of that stations PA...

The transmissions are regularly up and down by 500Hz, and they seem to follow the transmission sequence as well.

Because people work them, I guess they don't know that there is a problem...
