We have EMF regulations as part of our license requirements.

You're supposed to do a report depending on Tx power, antenna height etc, etc and keep it in a folder in the shack.

Not heard of anybody having had said folder checked as yet.

Some of the regs are so badly drafted, I'm not sure if my antenna system is supposed to be surrounded with 6' barbed wire fences and guard dogs or what :?

Playing Devil's Advocate: perhaps this could be advantageous to us.

At HF and VHF, (i.e. non-microwave) frequencies, it takes a mighty fistful of power to exceed the limits. At normal amateur powers - especially QRP - you would need to wind your G5RV round your head.

So in planning applications etc, we can use the available online calculators to include data, and say that our generated fields comply fully with recommendation blah-blah-blah.

Brains baffle Bullshit.

But you just can't reason with stupidity, which seems to be the norm in local government at the moment.

To paraphrase Paul Revere - "The nutters are coming, the nutters are coming..."

Well what makes me laugh, a certain GW8 was trying to say a 20M band dipole in your loft would be worst than a 23cm 67ele beam at 100W. :o

He seems to be under the illusion that RF travels ONLY along the horizontal plane of his beam antenna, what about the big bubble of RF that is formed in the vertical and horizontal plane? :?
