Re: OfCom Licence Framework Proposal
Same here. Nothing really affects me, but I might be tempted to use the "E" for this Royal Throne of Kings, this Sceptered Isle. It's only one 'dit' to me of course.

Re: 2M SSB fun
Takes me back to ye olde days. Thanks to the Air Cadets; I knew Morse Code long before I even learned about Amateur Radio. I blame the Dambusters movie, and "A Night to Remember", which is the old (and much better) black-and-white version of the Titanic story. Come 1979/80; me and a fellow...

Agreed. It's a shame how HRD 'faded', it was a bloody good site for years.
I think that they became too quick to silence 'non-conformists' like us, who were prone to rolling a grenade into the tent now and then. That's often what keeps sites 'lively'.

Re: Simple these days.
Mine are both still in a big box in the loft, awaiting the return of my "Radio Mojo". They are not worth the aggro of selling and shipping, but on the other hand I can't just chuck them because I know what will happen. HNY to you both and all the "lurkers". Pour yourself a stiff ...

Re: Couldn't resist it.
Awwwww! I'd love a dog, but I'm 66 now, so it would probably outlive me. Yes, that slot on 40m is about the only place that I monitor now. It's the main watering-hole for FISTS, G-QRP, Straight-Key CC etc, and is a place where lots of newcomers try their hand. I've even heard Morse-curious FLs on th...

Nice one Mark, and welcome back to the Brass Brotherhood.
I always find the area 7025 to 7040 is a good spot for 'old school' morsing.
Bon Chance, Mon Ami.

Re: Couldn't resist it.
Let me know when you feel more confident bashing the brass, and I might just spend that 'two hours in the loft' that I mentioned.

Put me down as 'Ambivalent'.
Nothing in the proposals affects me. Nothing takes anything away from me.
As for FLs? ... Good luck. Fill your boots.
