IC-7300, icom have probably sold these by the bucket load, why?
One of the first of its kind SDR (front panel, not PC) price to sell at £1050 when launched.
After they wet there feet, it went up to £1200. (but most dealers will give you either a base mic or speaker with it, so really its £1050 again)
For me, for the money nothing gets near it: SDR, Band scope display, ATU, HF/6/4, 100W, it ticks the boxes for the money.
Yes, its not a FT-101D or a TS-890, but for those radios you can have two of these and still take the Mrs. on a dirty weekend!
Its a small footprint in the shack, get you on HF, I've never heard a bad one, nothing gets close for the money.
I mean for £3K (if you know where to go) you can have three brand new, one on HF, one on 6, one on 4.
Last one I had, I took portable, great for that, takes little room.
John.
